In this episode I am giving away my artisan baked cheesecake recipe.
It is a crustless French style baked cheesecake flavoured with orange liqueur. it’s light, fluffy and this foolproof French style cheesecake recipe can be prepared in 15 minutes using a food processor.
Cheesecakes are one of the most well known dessert around the planet and France like other countries, do have cheesecakes as well. We call it: “Tarte or gateau au Fromage blanc”. it is a bit different than the standard cheesecake texture wise but technically its still a kind of cheesecake.
However the French style cheesecake is hard to make outside of France because you need to use a cheese called “Fromage Blanc” which is a typical kind of French fresh cheese and is unfortunately really hard to come by outside of France.
This is why I came up with my own take on cheesecake and created that foolproof recipe use standard cream cheese.
this artisan cheesecake recipe is flavoured with grated orange peel and French orange liquor (Cointreau) which give this cheese cake a classic French twist.
Also the one thing I tend to say for cheesecakes is: “no crust, no fuss”. This is why in this recipe, I am making a crustless baked cheesecake, to make sure everyone making it at home can obtain great results with minimum efforts.
