Let me tell you one thing, this is so tasty, so easy and so French that you should try it yourself. Some people will say that it’s not the most traditional way of doing it but that’s the easy way and it taste just as delicious 😉

Ingredients :
– Beef
– Shallots
– Spring onion
– Celery
– Carrots
– Diced ham
– Mushroom
– Plain flour (2 table spoon)
– Tomato purée
– Red wine
– Beef stock

Instructions :

In a large pot, put some olive oil and fry your beef for a couple of minutes on a very high heat to give it a crust. Once the crust is set, remove the beef and lower the heat. (Do not clean, just remove the beef)

Add in your shallots, spring onion, carrots, celery, diced ham and mushroom and stir well.

Add in your beef once more, put 2 table spoon of plain flour on top and stir again.

The best part of all : add your red wine, and complete with vegetable stock for extra flavors. You don’t want the beef to float in the liquid. Have the liquid sit just below the top.

On a very low heat, cover the pot and let it cook for 2-3 hours. Stirring throughout.

Best serve with basmati rice.
