“Du Nord 1834” is a French cuisine restaurant and confectionary with an atmosphere of Paris in St Petersburg, Russia.

“1834” in the name of restaurant is a historic reference to the days of 1834 when back then – 200 years ago, in this building on Ligovsky Prospekt in St Petersburg, was opened one of the first French style confectioneries in the city. 

The restaurant revives not only the traditions of French bakeries, but also the amazing cuisine of France.

One of the best chefs in the city, Dmitry Shcherbakov, cooks at Du Nord 1834 Confectionery. The menu includes traditional French delicacies prepared according to authentic recipes.

A stunning and beloved by many Nicoise salad, a duet of tender rabbit and veal liver pate with a warm baguette, aromatic onion soup.

Also on the menu are rare gourmet items – White Sea mussels stewed in white wine with vegetables and roots.

The wine list of the restaurant includes drinks from the main wine-making regions of France, as well as a standard line of spirits and cocktails.

Confectionery “Du Nord 1834” is known throughout St. Petersburg – people come for them from all over the city.
