How to make a galette des rois :
Ingredients:
2 sheets of puff pastry
140g of almond powder
100g of sugar
2 eggs
75g of soft butter
1 egg yolk
Steps:
1. Roll out your puff pastries and cut out 2 circles.
2. Prick the bottom sheet of puff pastry with a fork.
3. In a bowl : mix the sugar, eggs, butter and almond powder.
4. Pour the mixture on your pastry.
5. Hide the ‘fève’ or coin in the mixture.
6. Put the 2nd circle of pastry on top.
7. Draw shapes with a knife and brush the top layer of pastry with an egg yolk.
8. Bake in the oven on 200C for 20-30 minutes.
9. Let it cool.
10. Enjoy!
