A simple dessert or breakfast that you can whip up in minutes. It’s sweet and crispy thanks to the sugar we sprinkle in while cooking. Sprinkling sugar while cooking creates a crispy caramelized texture on the toast. Do try this tip and you’ll never make French toast the same way again.
Ingredients
4 slices Bread
4 tbsp Butter
2 Eggs
2 tbsp sugar – 1 tbsp more for sprinkling while cooking
1 tsp Cinnamon powder
1 cup Milk
1 tsp Vanilla extract
Directions
In a large bowl combine eggs, sugar, cinnamon, milk and vanilla extract. Mix the mixture well and grab 4 slices of bread. Best bread to use is dry bread as it will absorb the mixture better. Let the bread soak the mixture for a few seconds but not until the bread becomes easy to break.
In a pan melt 2 tbsp of butter and heat up the pan. Grab 2 slices of soaked bread and place it in the pan. Sprinkle about 1/2 tbsp of sugar on both sides of the toast. It’s ready when both sides are brown and sugar caramelized.
Serve with syrup and fresh fruits.
