The Jeremy Wine Co. 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is here!
The grapes arrived at the winery in near perfect, concentrated, beautiful condition, leaving us to simply be caretakers of the fermentation. We were careful not to over extract those bold tannins to maintain an elegant balance of tannin and flavor.
Lodi really is Zinfandel country. However, every once in a while, we come across a vineyard location that just begs for other varietals. Planted in the same overall vineyard as the Italian varietals in the Clements Hills sub-ava, the Cabernet Sauvignon occupies a small wash of a valley with moderately deep clay soil over the top of a deep pocket of cobblestones.
This unique pocket of grapes has proven to be an ideal location for Cabernet Sauvignon. Across the board 2018 was one of my favorite vintages to date with near perfect ripening conditions yielding an incredible depth of flavor.
One of our newest releases this February 2021, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is surely not to disappoint!
