In version 5 of the Gentleman Blend, we’ve brought together a chorus of robust Italians, primarily sourced from the rocky vineyard out in the edge of the Clements Hills.
As blending components they are uniquely inclined towards each other and compliment the blend beautifully when combined with Montepulciano. The Nebbiolo and Primitivo are small players, but contribute significantly to texture and aromatics. The resulting wine is stunning, with tightly linked layers of fruit and subtle aromatics of cedar and spice.
Tasting Notes:
“On the nose is juicy ripe strawberry, raspberry jam and brown sugar, leading into more floral and earthy aromas of potpourri and sweet tobacco. On the palate, gentle yet full tannins balance with the fresh, bright acidity, finishing with ripe cherry and toasty clove and vanilla from time spent in oak.”
