Why You Need To Visit Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter @ Walt Disney World!
Cobble stone streets. Wrought iron balconies. Sounds of jazz. And colourful mardi gras characters all around. Are we still at Walt Disney World?
Port Orleans French Quarter is a moderate resort, located in the Disney Springs area of Walt Disney World. The resort is the smallest of the Disney resorts, with just 1008 rooms, situated in 7, three story buildings, along on the Sassagoula river. French Quarter is sister resorts with Port Orleans Riverside and they are collectively known as Port Orleans Resort. Being sister resorts, they do share facilities and guests staying at either one, are welcome to use all amenities, pools and dining facilities at the other resort.
Port Orleans French Quarter is most famous for beignets, boozy beignets and ice cream beignet sundaes! But the Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory has so many more options including speciality dishes from New Orleans. This is one of the most unique quick service restaurants in the whole of Walt Disney World.
Staying at Port Orleans French Quarter has lots of benefits, but one huge benefit is the boat transportation to Disney Springs, where you will find shops, bars, restaurants and an assortment of entertainment. You can find more information about Disney Springs, on our Disney Springs Video here:
This is also the resort, where you can enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride!
