Forget about these COVID travel restrictions, I am traveling to France to tast some Cabernet Franc. You need to add Cabernet Franc to the wines you must try and be drinking more of in 2021.

Some of my favorite wines in the world come from the Chinon and Bourgeil appellations in France but the one we taste today is from the unheralded area of Saumur-Champigny. Really pretty wines come from this area.

There are a number of other areas in the world that produce great Cabernet Franc wines. I would suggest trying those from The Finger Lakes in New York, South Africa, and Italy.

The wine tasted in this episode is below:

2017 Le Petit Vincent ‘Pelo’
Cabernet Franc
Saumur-Champigny
Loire Valley, France
