This was to replace a similar cafetière which had broken and I couldn’t get the glass out without risking cutting myself. The new one is different in design enabling you to unscrew the holder so the glass can be easily and safely removed.

The plastic grips the glass beaker much better than the metal chassis version. I prefer this plastic over my older metal one.
Perfect size for one cup, and its always perfect! Comes apart completely for easy cleaning, but there are many parts to it (some small), so be sure to keep track of those!
Recommend to soak in warm soapy water first before trying to clean, as the coffee can cake on after awhile if not deep cleaned often.
I loved this French press coffee maker, however, I returned because it was somehow small, and ordered the next size.

Usual excellent Bodum quality and a really vibrant red colour which is very cheery especially for an early morning coffee!
The plastic frame grips the glass jug very tightly which is great for everyday use, but does make it very difficult to separate for cleaning.
Does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
As long as you are only looking to make one cup, this is perfect. I believe coffee tastes its best from a french press. This little pot is sturdy and washes great in the dishwasher.
The only negative i have found is the top/press itself as it is a little flimsy but still manageable but I can see it might not last a long time. Never the less, I do recommend this French Press.
