Stumbled onto this as I had not been aware of stars before. Very happy with the beautiful polished black nickle finish vs other brands that look more utilitarian; earns a place sitting out on display instead of hiding in a drawer or such.

Works well and very weighty. Seems like a well-made product.
I used to use an old floppy jar opener but it lost its grip. I drink a lot of sparkling wine and one particular case was a little tough to open. I read about this in La Cucina Italiana magazine and had to buy.
It works great, is very substantial, and looks nice. It works so well I bought for a friend. it makes a great gift for anyone who likes champagne.
I occasionally have trouble opening a bottle of champagne, and usually resort to the “rubber band” method or just straining away for 10 minutes. I decided to try this after reading the reviews. Never had an easier time opening champagne!

I got this as a gift for my wife who loves champagne but gets nervous when she has to pop a bottle. She is able to open bottles now with ease, comfort and without having to worry about safety or making a mess.
