CHAMPAGNE!!! The drink of the New Year. So good. So bubbly. Also, not what we are all usually drinking at our parties. Ha! Sparkling wine is the more accurate term. In this video I’ll show you how to open your sparkling wine, then how to pour it with out fizz, THEN how to make 3 different cocktails with it! Happy New Year to you! YUM.

My favorite of these three New Years Eve cocktails is the French 75. It really does taste like a lemon soda!

Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Gin
1 oz. Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice – Or whatever lemon juice you have lying around
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup – If you don’t have simple syrup, try adding in 1/2 tsp of powdered sugar! It will shake right in.
2 oz Chilled Sparkling Wine of your choice – Basically, fill up whatever glass you are using 2oz is not required

To Garnish:
Lemon Twist

Method:
Combine gin, lemon juice and simple syrup (or powdered sugar), to your cocktail shaker with a few cubes of ice. Shake vigorously until chilled.

Pour into champagne flute or glass of your choice. Top with your chilled sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon twist, and drink up!

I hope you and your guests enjoy! This drink is incredible for New Years Eve or any party you’re having.
