Celebrating with sparkling wines is kind of a standard in many places around the world but what if you want to up your game and treat your guests in a more special way. In this video I am making three of my favourite Champagne Cocktails that everyone loves (speaking out of experience).
These drinks are so good that you don’t have to celebrate something to enjoy them!

The first cocktail and also the easiest one to make is the Classic Champagne Cocktail. It is also one of the oldest cocktails and it first appears in 1855 in an article. For me this drink is like an Old Fashioned topped of with Champagne.

Classic Champagne Cocktail:
1x Sugar Cube
3-4 dashes of Angostura Bitters
30ml or 1 oz of Cognac
Top off with Champagne or any dry sparkling wine

The second cocktail is the French 75. This is one of the most famous Champagne cocktails that every bartender and barfly should know. The drink dates to World War I, and an early form was created in 1915 at the New York Bar in Paris—later Harry’s New York Bar—by barman Harry MacElhone.

French 75:
30ml or 1 oz of dry gin
15ml or ½ oz of lemon juice
15ml or ½ oz of simple sirup
Top off with Champagne or any dry sparkling wine

The final cocktail is my favourite one of the three. It has the same formula as the French 75 but uses Cuban rum and mint. The Old Cuban was invented by Saunders in 2001, and quickly made its way into bar books across America. Like all great classic cocktails, the recipe is deceptively simple, requiring just rum, sparkling wine, lime, mint and bitters.

Old Cuban:
40 ml or 1,5 oz of Aged Cuban Rum
15ml or ½ oz of Simple Sirup
15ml or ½ oz Lime Juice
6-8 mint leaves
2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
Top off with Champagne or any dry sparkling wine

This is our last video for 2020 which has been challenging for most of us but it also pushed our creativity and made us better and stronger. We started this channel with the idea to show people who like to enjoy cocktails and new things. We are going to be back in 2021 with more awesome videos and good drinks! Till then enjoy your holidays and be happy!
