1 kg onion
3 cloves of garlic
30 ml brandy
150 ml white wine
4 sprigs of thyme
1 tsp light brown sugar
4 litre beef stock
2 tbsp flour
60 g butter
1 baguette
80 g Gruyere cheese
Salt and black pepper
