Château d’Yquem. So, how do you go about pronouncing Château d’Yquem. Well. Château, you know about chateau, don’t you? Many omit to say the D. The complete chateau name is Château d’Yquem many do omit the D, saying Château Yquem. Chateau Yquem is perfectly fine. Y in French forms the sound EE. so EE KEM. Château d’Yquem.
