  1. Markus Merlot 2020, Brazil

Reddish in color with a wide reddish rim, and medium plus intensity.

Red fruits on the nose with light oak, spices, chocolates and herbs.

Medium plus and body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, red currants, light wood, spices, coffee, herbs, dark chocolates, light earth and black pepper.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 6 year old Merlot from Brazil is still young, but already drinking very nicely. Complex and interesting. Rich and fruit forward. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years and see how it evolves.

This 6 year old Merlot is fresh and easy drinking right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Feels like a Right Bank Bordeaux.

A good sipping wine that also paired beautifully with my Lamb Chops.

100% Merlot grapes from Pomerol, were aged in French oak barrels for 30 months. A tiny production of only 1,330 bottles.

    14% alcohol by volume.

    91 points.
