I got this bottle of Dom Perignon for my graduation. It was a gift to my aunt over 20 years ago from a french billionaire. Can you help me with what i need to know and how much it may be worth, I’m completely clueless on this topic. It was stored in a cold cellar horizontally and it’s full. Sadly i got no papers.

    Worth? $0
Open it, hope its good and enjoy it.

It looks like it’s a Vintage in the 2000-2010 range and you have no provenance so it’s worth very little. You’re better off just enjoying it on a special occasion than trying to sell it

That’s a very generous gift with a cool story. It’s in miserable shape and isn’t worth much, but you should chill it and enjoy it. Or keep it.

Not worth anything but definitely open it and try it.

The retail value of a bottle with known provenance in good condition is probably $250-450 depending on the actual vintage (assuming 2000’s).
So it’s “worth” something, but no one is paying any good money for that random bottle from someone who doesn’t know how it’s been stored for the last 20 years.
Chill it and try to enjoy it. Cheers!
