We just moved into a new place that has all white walls, but I want to warm up the place a bit.

In the living room I got a mid century tv console and will mix it with some organic and modern decor.

At first I wanted to decorate the kitchen in very light woods like bamboo, but now I'm second guessing myself. I feel like an acacia or medium toned wood might tire it together with the living room. What do you think?

Sorry for the shitty decor, we are working on it! 😅

I think you should use more than one tone of wood. But at least have two times of the same wood tone and make sure the tones complement each other.

Personally I think you’re off to a great start. I would change out those bar chairs though. They are kind of boring and I think changing that out would change the overall look of your kitchen. Wood chairs would look better.

Also change out the cabinet handles. Your kitchen has a loooooot of sharp corners. I think round corner handles would soften your kitchen. Maybe look into antique brass. You need a mixture of metals too.
