We’ve just converted one of our spare bedrooms into a dressing room and are really happy with it so far. Storage is maximised with wardrobes built from IKEA carcasses but finished with custom doors and drawer fronts for a more built-in look.
One alcove wasn’t deep enough for another wardrobe, so we added open shelving instead. The room is small, so we colour-drenched it in a neutral- pink colour and, not yet finished, but the entrance door was removed and we will add a linen blue curtain instead. The patterned floor tiles are original to the house and stayed. All items (rug, lamp, door knobs) are vintage / Ebay.
Still a work in progress, but already feels like a much better use of the space.

wow so…minimalistic. did you ask for a designer’s opinion or did you do it yourself?
This is beautiful! Timeless!
those tiles are fabulous!!!! Love everything about this.
I love this so much
Elegant. Very elegant. Love it. Where is this?
This is gorgeous. The color drench with the original tiles and vintage bits makes it feel like a little boutique dressing room, not a spare room someone slapped wardrobes in.
That curtain instead of a door is such a smart move in a small space too, it’s gonna look insanely cozy once it is up.
Love it! Looking to do similar fitted wardrobes with Ikea’s Pax as a base and custom fronts. Did you make or order the doors and drawer fronts?
