I'm a single dad of 2, and relatively new to interior decorating. I bought this 1960s home a few years ago, and I've been working on the look for the past 1-2 years. Mid-century was not a style I really loved, but it's grown on me. My preference is more organic modern: white walls, lots of light wood, lots of greenery, so I've tried to blend and compromise where I can. Would love any feedback on any of the photos I've shared, and there's a few things I'm considering changing, especially with the living room:
- Would a natural/beige rug work better than the Persian one I have now?
- Would a lamp or plant work better by the arm of the sectional instead of a side table?
- How would you improve the lighting in the living room?
- Would other color couches work better? Or 2 separate couches instead of a sectional?

Paint. The. Walls.
Some funky wallpaper, maybe in the bathroom
I would swap out the light fixture in the dining area with a more organic one (like a paper lantern) that ‘swags’ so it can be hung in the center of the table.
The three pictures behind the couch should also be hung closer together
