Barolo: initially was very closed, took ≈1.5 hours to truly open up, after some air, it has dried fruit and balsamic notes, with a little bit of earthiness as well, the tasting notes I read mentioned white pepper and clove, I didn’t get a lot of that spice aspect. definitely drinking well now doesn’t need any more time in bottle. For the white stones, it has bright citrus with honey and floral notes, up there with the best South American Chardonnay I’ve ever had along with the Baettig los primos 2016. Two fantastic wines, not often you get to drink stuff like this.
