Been waiting over a year to close on an old Bermuda home and it finally happened this past week. I am planning to drink a celebratory bottle of wine with my wife. Dinner is NY strip, new potatoes, broccolini and salad.
A few years ago I was part of a cellar club here on island, the gave a quarterly selection of high end wines. I quickly figured out that these were too classy/expensive for me and I didn’t have the proper storage on a hot island for aging. These are the three that are left.
Would love you fine folks take on what to drink and why.

If it were me, I’d probably be opening that 2017 Barolo. From the few things I’ve heard 2017 is “approachable now” and would be drinking quite nice.
The Figeac is probably going to be pretty harsh/tight and closed, as it’s so young.
But honestly all of them are probably going to be absolutely BANGING and very enjoyable! Congrats on closing on the house!
Leave the burgundy and barolo in the back of your fridge for a decade. Drink the BDX tonight (but decant it)
