I envision two pieces of art on these top shelves but these feel too big. Thoughts?

They're still wrapped in plastic in case I return them.

Edit: Everyone is saying color but I'm not sure what would look good.

Bonus points for links to suggested alternatives! Hosting something next week and want to finish the space.

Not too big, but it’s a missed opportunity for some color and contrast.

They look too large for the space. I was scrolling through and at first glance it looked like 2 manual push-bar doors to me.

A bit much, I think. The patterns in the peripheral view while focused on the screen would be a tad distracting (dare I say like an eye test). Love the art though, so maybe consider a different space for the pieces. Perhaps a matching set of colorful glass art in each space? Like a deep blue vase that illuminates under the overhead light?

I think the main reason it struck me as odd is that the artwork is grey and white, just like the rest of the room, and I wasn’t quite sure what I was looking at. I thought you may have made it yourself to match the room. So I’d rather see art with color that’s different. Also, the spotlights directly on your art may damage it and fade it fairly quickly, so it’s something to think about.

The best art in that room you’ve blocked out 🦙🤪
