Help me with an idea for this space

I will turn this into a warm cozy bedroom. I have a plan in my mind but I need help of suggestions what can I do with the small space behind the pillar on the corner? Ofc those boxes will be removed.
Honest suggestions (with pic if possible) are appreciated. Thanks.
