While searching for some wines from the region of Ukraine where my family lived in the 1800s, I found this nice red from Montenegro in a Serbian owned international market.

The color tells you everything. Tannins everywhere. Dark cherries, wood, blackberries, and plum. Intense at first with a slight, but very forward pucker, but even just 15 minute later it was a different wine….softer, but still full.

We enjoyed this with grilled beef tenderloin, and even with a bit of chocolate toffee afterwards.
