I’m looking to turn the wall with the tv and fireplace into an accent wall and am in need of some inspiration. First thing that comes to mind is removing the tiles around the fireplace and doing a ship lap wall. I’ve also considered leaving it and replacing the tile with stone veneer. Anyone have a thoughts or opinions on what might look best? Also, those speakers on the ceiling will be getting removed as well.

Stone veneer would last way longer than shiplap and won’t show wear from the fireplace heat
