Hi everyone,
I found several old wine bottles in my grandfather’s cellar, including a Rheingau Spätburgunder from 1976 and a few other vintages.
I’m planning to upload photos of all the bottles I found, and I was wondering if wines like these still have any collector’s value today, or if they’re mainly just interesting to drink.

You could get some money (but not a lot) on German ebay, people there like to gamble. Personally, I’d drink them myself and remember Opa.
They look amazing
They are valuable to you personally as a collector, but on the market they are most likely worthless.
I’d recommend drinking them with family and making some memories!
Are you selling the food in his fridge too?.. wine is food and 95%of it appreciates in value the same as all other food.
Totally depends on the producer and fill level of the wines
The spatburgunder is worth zero, 50 year old German Pinot noir not in high demand
I would just drink it in their memory! That ’76 beerenauslese will be a really interesting experience!
