Looking for help picking window coverings for our three bedrooms at our lake cottage. Currently, all three rooms have standard white blinds and all rooms are fairly small. I was considering floor length, blackout curtains to help mute the pine some but not sure if that’s the best option. The bedroom with all the windows also gets pretty cold in the winter so heavy curtains could help with that too.

I just have to know if you live in Maine
Curtains are kind of frou-frou for a pine cottage, no? Outside-mounted thermal-insulated roman shades will control both the temperature and light, and look ‘neat’ on the windows.
Is this your furniture? If not, switch the country-look to ‘urban rustic’ decor: dark wood (match the pine knots) furniture, textured fabrics in nature-inspired muted-tones, black iron + brushed yellow metals (like the sconces).
