Hi everyone

We recently bought a house and we’re adding two lounge chairs to our living room and would love your input on which model would suit the space best.

The chairs would go near the wood stove (left side of the room in the photo). We’re deciding between:

Option 1: A simple Nordic-style armchair with wooden legs (light oak + beige fabric). https://jysk.dk/stue/laenestole/laenestol-vadehavet-naturfarvet-stof-eg

Option 2: A beige upholstered lounge chair with a swivel base (slightly more modern / sculptural look). https://jysk.dk/stue/laenestole/loungestol-andrup-drejebase-beige-stof

We’re aiming for: Warm, Scandinavian feel Cozy seating zone around the wood stove that doesnt take up too much space. And something that complements the floor.

Do you think we should go for the lighter wooden-leg chair to match the floor, or the swivel lounge chair for more presence and flexibility?

Open to honest opinions or even alternative suggestions in a similar budget range. Thanks in advance!

I would avoid a chair there, everything is the same hight and makes the room feel like it’s made for very small people. You need height. A tall plant that is an option but not sure the stove will be on, so perhaps not going to work. You could also look for some ladder shelving as another option.
