We have original 1920s floors in our house that I adore, but they are VERY orange. I love midcentury and greens, so that hasn’t been too much an issue. We’re looking for a new couch and just had a baby, so white is out. Currently we have grey, but I really would prefer to not go grey again. I’m loving this chocolate brown moment, but I think they’ll totally clash (tell me if I’m wrong!) that leaves me with some kind of tan/sand or I could go green. Don’t get me wrong, I love a green couch, but at this point our entire house is green. Chairs, baby stuff, the paint in three rooms lol.
So anyway, what do you guys think would work color/style wise for these floors/surrounding furniture? If you have specific links would love to see it.

Brown would be my choice.
grey or beije.
Chocolate brown Is beautiful but to much for a big object like a couch.
Blue can also work and is also a risk for the same reason as brown.
Not helpful but those are literally my dream floors so I’m delighted to hear you’re not getting rid of them!
Do you have a rug? If not, I’d pick that first and then find a couch that works with that and the floor.
Baby blue, navy blue, spring green, olive green, butter yellow and some shades of pink all look great with orangey-red, and with each other. 🌈
I would go with brown
I’d stick with the green. That chocolate brown chair is too cool toned for the flooring
I’d pick green. Gorgeous floors.
Olive green, navy blue or dark brown
Lean into the green from that chair you already have. It works really well, so build off that
Teal and orange is such a classic combo. You could add splashes of ochre to connect the orange (floor) and green (chair) on the colour wheel
Purple! Off the beaten path and harder to find but gosh that would be pretty with your green and browns.
I miss my fir floors!
Those floors are beautiful 🤩
the green 😍
