I found a site that will make covers for a whole range of IKEA chairs and couches at a reasonable price. But I'm struggling with whether I try to go as close a possible to the IKEA cover grey, or choose a contrasting colour. I'd be so grateful for thoughts and opinions.
Pictures are of the new IKEA covers for my 4 regular chairs and then swatches of possible choices for the two arm chairs.

It depends on the rest of your room. If you already have enough color (walls, rugs, curtains, wall art, etc.) then you can choose the MF5 and keep all the chairs neutral and similar looking. Otherwise I would choose something contrasting (I would even go with the orange M3, but that’s just me :)).
i’d go with an entirely different color! you’re already buying new covers for it, might as well try out a new color. i recently did the same for my Vimle sectional. my son got some slime on it and it was impossible to remove. it looks like a completely new sofa now. i love it.
