I have finally gotten around getting some stuff for our sitting room (not the main living room). But once I hung the floating shelves I realize I don’t have space for the floor lamps on both corners that I was planning on.
What type of light would you suggest for this space?
Any other suggestions to improve the space to cozy but not cluttered ?
(Additional info: I ah e a rug ordered already. The gray chair and lamp are not there permanently and I plan to move them both elsewhere)

I love this space!! I think you can add more interest to the wall by removing the single picture and either doing one big piece, or do a collection. The single picture is too small for that space. Are you able to remove the shelves and add sconces?
The shelving placement is a little odd because the right side is so close to the pillar. And the art in the middle is too small.
I like the other comment’s idea to remove the shelves, add sconces, and get a large art piece.
