Hi! Id love to get curtains or blinds! Any recommendations on how you’d decorate? I honestly love the no curtains/blinds look, but there is sunlight all day and it gets very hot and blinding!! (Im very thankful still lol)
How about long ones that nearly touch the floor but only start below the semicircle window? Also, what is the arc of the covenant doing in your fireplace?

Motorized shades on the top and the bottom sections of each window.

Roller solar shades that are brown. Have them installed at the top cross piece, leaving the top semicircle open. when they are all the way up, they blend with the wood. When down, you can partially see out, but no one can see it. They block out most of the sun – I think mine are 97% blocking. I usually pull mine down over about 3/4 of the window, so sun is shining through the top and bottom. Sometimes I pull the down 100%. They allow for all the beautiful woodwork to still show. Mine are a linin look brown that matches the wood pretty closely. They are levolor light filtering solar roller shades I special ordered and had installed from home depot.

You could do stained glass film on the top arches and some wood blinds on the bottom parts! Match the pretty wood framing.
But also, since you have a baby, motorized may be better.

definitely shades esp with a baby!! motorized or not, that would be my best suggestion. i would try to get some that you can pull down/ push up since your windows are so long. make sure they dont have cords too 🙂

If you do motorized shades, PRO TIP:
If they stop working all the sudden, change the remote batteries before putting up scaffolding and risking your life to fix the shades.

TV placement is atrocious; they almost never look good above a fireplace /mantle. It’s too big for that spot and should be lower to the ground anyway. Anything you do to the windows will look better with the cramped TV removed.

I have similar windows and custom shutters made that also covered the arch and could be opened in one piece. Love them!
