Trying to create a cozy reading nook by the bookshelves. I will be replacing the side table, probably with a lighter wood, and adding a floor lamp. Also I'm not keeping the cushion in the picture but I am thinking of a similar color in a more plush fabric. Looking for feedback specifically on the following points, but any other thoughts are also welcome :
Is this rug the right size? It is 5' round, and I wonder if a 6' would look better. I had kind of imagined it surrounding the chair completely.
What do we think of the rug's color? The chair fabric has gray-blue, teal and olive colors. But I want to pull in a warmer direction, hence the mustard-y cushion and the yellow rug. I'll admit the rug looks a lot yellower than online but I kinda like it. At the same time, it almost blends in with the floor. The rest of the furniture is very blue and I really don't want more blue.
If I do keep this or a same sized rug, should it be pulled out more like in the third picture?

Bigger rug different color. This one is too small and contrasts poorly with the floor color
I think the rug should be larger, as the table is half on/half off this one. Maybe a paler cream/beige colour and plain, all one colour would work better.
