Best configuration to fit everything? Does the recliner need to go?

I want to keep the blue recliner but I feel like it’s too big and bold for the space. I also need to keep my desk in the living room.

I’m going to put a ladder shelf next to the tv and some wall hangings— so it will not be this empty (I just moved in).

Is there a way to organize everything in the space to make it look more cohesive, especially with the recliner? Or should I just get a smaller chair to replace it?
