You definitely could! A tapestry could also look nice. The lamps also feel a bit small compared to the bed and nightstands, so that might also be adding the feeling of something missing. Are you able to turn the rug the other direction so more of it is on the sides of the bed rather than at the foot of the bed? It typically works better to do the rug perpendicular to the direction of the rug.

Yes! Looks like it needs a gallery wall or a three piece coordinating set. Because it’s so symmetrical I love a gallery wall of randomness of pictures and paintings you enjoy

There is indeed some space available. I think your idea of placing artworks is quite good. You could consider placing a horizontal decoration that is about two-thirds the height of your bed, or hanging a pair of smaller vertical artworks placed side by side. A landscape painting, a calm-colored abstract painting, or a painting with a plant pattern would all be very suitable.

Your headboard almost completely disappears against that wall. I’d definitely add something over the bed. I’d keep the light wall color though, because while it’s not great with your headboard, anything darker will make your wall unit stand out more.

I’d search for a framed tapestry. There are beautiful ones for sale. The frame gives it structure, but it’s light enough that it won’t hurt you if it falls.
