Needs idea for this space – I had to take the folding doors off because they wouldn't fit with it on (I still have em, and yes this is the only washer/dryer that will fit )

I hate that it's the first thing you see when you walk in, and I don't love the idea of a curtain I feel that looks ehhhhh. Maybe a folding divider type thing? Ideas?

The folding divider will just be in the way and only closed when you have company. I think you want something that you can enjoy looking at while living here (or at least tolerate). Right?

What about hanging panels? If this is a rental, use hanging fabric or natural fiber panels (they stay flat and slide side to side). If you own, you can look into wood panels.

Had to do this in my old apartment, I just used a tension rod and cute curtains.

  3. A nice room divider would be great! You could fold it up when using the machines

Folding dividers are a huge pain to move, and it will be in the way constantly. If you have any kind of a budget or are handy, it really wouldn’t be difficult to add a thicker doorframe and/or add a sheet of drywall to extend the wall far enough to add a real door. You can see the wall extends a little past the edge of the dryer. If you frame a door instead of doing frameless like it was before, that should be enough to make actual doors work.

Otherwise a curtain is probably your best option.

A barn door would look really great in this space!
