I own a number of shades of Rub'nBuff and have used it before on minor decorative items like picture frames, but I am considering turning my bathroom brushed gold, and have to ask, has anyone on here ever used it long-term on bathroom fixtures? I'm not talking about just one or two items; I'd be using it on everything—door handles, tp holder, sink faucet, towel rod and rings, light fixture, shower curtain rod, and the tub-shower fixtures. That shower doesn't get used often, but we do use that toilet and sink daily.

The long background reason: I inherited a stunning piece of art, this art nouveau zodiac painting by Alphonse Mucha that has been engraved on a sheet of glass, colorized with alcohol inks, and framed in bronze with a neutral beige background. I want to hang it in my guest bath and use it to tie all the decor together, but it really feels to me like the fixture colors that would go with it are warm-toned, not cool-toned.

Currently my tub is plain white, the floor tile is a beige that matches the rest of the house, and the fixtures are all brushed nickel. I already have a beige and white shower curtain in a boho style that goes well with the painting, and if I went this route, I'd paint the vanity as well because it's laminate and a hideous orange shade.

I don't think I can justify replacing all the fixtures, though. It matters to me for them all to be the same shade, and since brushed gold colors aren't uniform from one brand to the next, I'd probably have to go with everything from the same brand. And logically, it'd have to be Moen because all the valves on the sink and shower are Moen. I am skilled enough to replace a faucet, but if I broke a pipe in the wall, I'd be screwed.

So that leaves me with Rub'nBuff, or leaving them a cool tone that I don't think goes well with the rest of the color scheme. Thoughts?
