That fireplace is a classic showpiece. I’d seriously just give it a deep clean, get a nice screen. If you want it lighter you can always limewash it a bit.

Take everything off it, including the TV, and let it shine as the centerpiece it is.

Put the tv elsewhere and remove the cushions. I think a set of vintage MCM brass fireplace tools on the hearth would look nice. Something subtle that doesn’t take away from the beauty of the piece.
