This bottle of Bourgogne Le Chapître is older than most players in the England – France match, and much like Didier Deschamps, its glory days are behind it.

Basically no fruit, a little cranberry, some dried tomatoes, slight VA, but entirely tertiary mostly tasting of wood. This wine is mostly mouthfeel, with some tannins remaining and a nice refreshing acidity still.

Let's see if both the team and the bottle improve in the second half!
