I like this unique paint job in our family room (it complements the fireplace on the other wall), but *surprise* when the previous owners moved out and took their couch, it turns out they didn’t do the whole wall. They didn’t leave extra paint and I can’t match the exact color of the darker green (it’s years old on the wall, so even if I knew the color it wouldn’t be exact). Then I think the lighter color was created by them just adding white to the dark green paint.

Basically, finishing the paint job is not really an option. What are other options to keep the effect but make it look nice? I’m considering beadboard paneling, but haven’t done that before.

Get paint you like and repaint all the squares with the new shade(s) if you like the design..

I don’t care for it personally but I commend that it’s unique and if you like it it shouldn’t be hard to repaint

  2. Some darker primer and painting over it. MAYBE. You can make it look better but that’s a tough design IMO
