It seems too large for the table. Could it be used elsewhere and possible keep the runner and spruce up with candles? Maybe put it on the bar caddy and add bottles in it if the base is flat enough.

Get rid of both. The runner looks like a rug and the bowl is too big for the table. The tan wall needs something. I’d leave the table empty or a floral arrangement and focus on adding art and/or curtains to the wall.

I think this is a dough bowl. Very old. You could use some salad bowl treatment to rehydrate it – bees wax based? That said I think one or 3 large conch shells or sea urchin shells would be interesting. I’ve also seen these displayed on walls but not sure how they hang them. A good antique store might be a resource if that seems like a good option.
