2023 Domaine Pierre Guillemot Savigny-Les-Beaune. When I opened it the cork came out like there was extra pressure im the bottle and some wine shot out. Never had that happen before and am wondering if there was extra fermentation or something going on?? Otherwise needed some time to decant, was ultimately pretty tart, a little tannic, seemed like it had potential but was pretty alcoholic.

I’ve drank a LOT of these but not the 2023. Have not had the cork feel any different than other wines. ‘23 could be a little young, but otherwise should be a good drink. SLB has its own uniqueness vs other Burgs
Yeah it happens sometimes.
This is not the fault of the cork. On the bottling side, there could be a lack of vacuum pulled to create a slightly negative pressure within the bottle, or the amount of wine within the bottle was too great not leaving enough headspace. Or, secondary fermentation could have occurred. Or the wine had less than ideal storage temps. Too tough to tell.
