I’m trying to make my house feel more warm, cozy, and “finished,” and this stairwell/entry area is really throwing me off.
Right now it feels super blank and kind of awkward.
I feel like this space should have a lot of personality but I don’t know what direction to go. I definitely want to change the overhead light, and add an area rug to the bottom, but thats the most of creativity ive gotten thus far.
Things I like:
• Warm, cozy, slightly modern
• A bit of vintage/dopamine decor vibe
• Natural textures (wood, plants, etc.)
• Not too cluttered but definitely not minimal
What I’m struggling with:
• What to do with the long stair wall (gallery wall? panels? something else?)
• How to make the cutout window area feel intentional
• If I should add lighting, shelves, or anything functional
Anything that would make this space feel more styled and less forgotten
Thanks!! 🙏
