Dark ruby with garnet bricking at the edge. Decanted 1.5 hrs. Should have done more. Nose of forest floor, mushroom, red fruit. Palate mirrored nose. Fruit became more expressive at about 3 hours. Very well balanced. I have read notes that criticize a lack of acidity but I didn’t have that experience. Very soft tannins. Sweet medium long finish. I bought this almost 20 years ago for about $200 I wouldn’t pay current market prices. I have 1 more bottle, I’ll wait 5 to 10 years before I pop it. Over a very nice experience. Paired with leg of lamb with roasted root vegetables.

Great st Emilion, the Cabernet franc at the unit Cote that is south east facing.
1995 is a good year for Ausone and Angelus.
Cabernet Franc is my grape. Love the way it evolves with age.
I can only afford Belair Monange that is close by.
