Beautiful nose of black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, light oak, chocolates, black pepper, light earth, tobacco leaf, light vegetables, herbs, eucalyptus and black tea.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black plums, cooked cherries, currants, light wood, coffee, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, black tea, pencil lead, earth, herbs, mediterranean spices and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 17 year old Merlot blend is still showing enough fruits to balance the earth notes.
What a nice surprise. I enjoyed it more than I expected. Nicely balanced and elegant. Complex and interesting.
Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. A good sipping wine.
