Hi, I work from home and I would really like your help with decoration. Originally had my desk in my room and I did like it but honestly, I just want to get out of my bedroom. My vibe is very earthy tones and having a bright white desk kind of throws me off a little bit. I also feel like this is very cluttered. I’m working on cord management right now. Moving the desk here was pretty new.
I was thinking about maybe getting a brown desk and a cream chair. That’s way more simple. Kind of like that fuzzy chair that’s really popular right now that has a wide seat. Thinking getting a larger 40 inch monitor that would go on top of the white stand and sliding my laptop closed underneath the stand. So on my desk, I would only have the key keyboard and my mouse. I really don’t want it to look cluttered.

You’re off to a really good start! Other than the color of the desk & the clutter (which you already know) it’s kind of a nice little corner, and by turning the chair, you have additional living room seating. The desk will sort of double as a side table when you have more people using the couch.
If you do a cream chair, try to pick up that cream color elsewhere – throw pillow or afgan or something. Every color or material needs a “buddy” in the room for it to fit.
Finally, I’d put a large piece of art over the sofa.
Moving it out of the bedroom is a great idea. The chair does feel a little oversized for the space, so swapping it for something more minimalist and moving to a single screen would make a huge difference. Since it’s a mechanical standing desk, it would be great to keep it if possible, maybe laminating it could give it a fresh new look as well.
