Love the curtains. I think you need colors, some kind of teal with maybe warm rusty red accents. If you go with something like black or gray, the space will feel very bland. Or go full gold, like full monochrome-style, with a yellow or gold rug, and then maybe a teal table with a clean white base (like a wineglass style table).
