Au Bon Climat, Santa Barbara County, Chardonnay,  2019, 13.5% abv.

Nose: upon pop it is quite herbal, a bit offe sice actually. After 2 hours, it doesn't open up but retains a not-sweet sour orchard fruit aroma set. Not abcgʻ's best performance.

Palate: light to medium body, mostly a dull  pineapple, light pears, and a hint of dessert dressings with some copper and tin dominating from time to time. Simple, to the point, not a "thinking" pour.

Finish: short, coppery, sweet pineapple, abv is strong.

Vernacular: nose is closed showing light primary and secondary aromas. Light bodied, medium acidity, medium minerality, secondary is closing down making it a bit linear, noticeable alcohol. Short finish, minerals are more active. Surprisingly alcohol is also still active. Time makes it better.

Grade: C+

Antica Terra, Ceras, Pinot Noir, 2018,

Nose: typical pinot noir aromas, bits of red fruit supported by black and blue fruits, hint of gaminess in the back.

Palate: medium body, entry is light fruit juice with a bit of salt. The mid palate is where everything happens as I am getting light to medium red fruit primary flavors mostly gamey raspberries, cherries, and dull strawberries, accompanied by a maritime saltiness that is neither oyster nor scallops, but something for geneic to the ocean. Back palate shows tannins, oil, and emphasizes the saltiness.

Finish: medium, dry, copper, tin, wood, salt, no alcohol.

Vernacular: nose shows primary and secondary aromas. Medium body, medium acidity, medium minerality, light alcohol medium finish, loads of minerality.

Grade: B-

How was your experiencing tasting in a glencairn? I thought about buying some for whiskey tasting but also thought it could be useful for some wine experiences? Especially something like an apertif or digestif
