I would really love some ideas on how I can warm this space up, maintain an airy quality, but make it feel a bit more unique and funky. I’m interested in painting the walls and the beams (and the ceiling!) and also interested in flooring alternatives (bye bye linoleum). Bonus points if you give me some window treatment ideas!

Get rid of the flooring. Maybe use cork or rubber. Both kill sound, are easy to walk on and stay warmer than hard surfaces.
